Amo a MX

This project starts with a book from Luis Roberto Ramírez Álvarez. A  fourteen year old mexican genius that now studies Quantum Physics in UCLA.

Things in Mexico got pretty bad politically when a group of 43 students dissapeared in the hands of the mexican military.  Luis Roberto thought about doing something that could ease a little bit the tension in the air. He wrote a book about the 43 things he loved the most from Mexico.

The illustrations where commissioned to Pamela Medina and Santiago Solis.

OBJECTIVES

To make a digital version of the book and give something else to the user, to almost make him play.

My team and I proposed an interactive tool where users can illustrate and share the reasons why they love Mexico.

PROBLEMS

PROBLEMS

  • How can we make a book with just text and images more interactive and alive?
  • There are 43 pages and we don’t want the classical one page scrolling navigation.
  • Users can get bored with the length of the book and desist after a few slides.

SOLUTIONS

  • Involve the audience step by step and give them the chance to share their reasons of why they love Mexico.
  • Separate each slide into a section so the user can orderely and calmly enjoy the digital book.
  • Add animations and make it look very attractive and fun.
